We at Synergy Designer Homes love to share fun activities for kids in the Savannah, Georgia area so we had to share the new Savannah Children’s Museum with you!
Just in time for summer, Savannah proudly announces the grand opening of its first children’s museum this Saturday, June 9th at 9am!
The one-acre, two-story outdoor exhibit called the Exploration Station offers creative and hands-on activities and games that have been designed to encourage young minds to learn and discover the world around them.
This community-funded, visitor-supported organization is backed by the Coastal Heritage Society, local donations, and a $200,000 grant from the Newman’s Own Foundation.
The Exploration Station will open in two phases, the outdoor part first and a 34,000 square foot indoor exhibit area featuring more than 100 interactive exhibits as more funding is available.
All programs and exhibits at the Children’s Museum are designed to encourage children to learn through play and reflect coastal Georgia, an experience unmatched in the South.
The Savannah Children’s Museum is located downtown off of MLK Boulevard near the Savannah Visitor’s Center and the Georgia State Railroad Museum.
Several different yearly museum memberships are available, starting at $65, each including admission for up to 5 family members.
The Savannah Children’s Museum welcomes donations to help support their continued expansion. All donations are tax-deductible.
